The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce Celebrates New Member

The Primal Outfitters, Inc.

South Haven, MI – October 4, 2024 - The South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the newest addition to our community of businesses and organizations—The Primal Outfitters, Inc. This dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is on a mission to serve veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and Gold/Blue Star Families through rejuvenating outdoor experiences.

Founded in 2022 by Marine Corps infantry veteran Josh Gunneson, affectionately known as "Gunne," The Primal Outfitters offers hunting, fishing, and camping excursions designed to provide both physical and mental healing. Gunne’s personal experience overcoming challenges has driven his belief in the therapeutic power of nature. He understands the unique stresses faced by veterans, first responders, and their families and has committed himself to offering them a chance to "live while they are trying to survive."

“Getting out into the great outdoors is more than just a getaway,” says Gunne. “It’s a way to reconnect with life, to find peace, and to heal from the inside out.” Through community donations, fundraising events, and the support of generous sponsors, The Primal Outfitters ensures that these life-changing outdoor experiences come at no cost to participants. They invite the entire community to join in supporting their mission to honor and uplift our nation's heroes.
