    About the Job:

    The Operations Manager is responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of US Tarp production departments ensuring high-quality production, employee performance, and on-time shipments.  They oversee employee training and development and operational efficiencies, working with other leaders to meet company’s short and long-term goals.  

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Collaborate with leadership to communicate daily, weekly, and monthly objectives to employees to ensure alignment with company production goals. 
    • Organize production workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
    • Train, oversee and coach employees, helping to resolve work-related problems and informing the manager as needed. 
    • Maintain a safe working environment by training and monitoring employees’ use of equipment, and scheduling regular maintenance as needed.
    • Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly.
    • Submit reports on performance and progress for production, safety, and employee performance.
    • Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
    • Use the company vehicle for deliveries and pick-ups, planning the best routes based on traffic, construction, and navigation tools. 
    • Other related duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    • Proven experience as a production supervisor, lead or similar role.
    • High School Diploma and at least 5 years of experience.
    • Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
    • Advanced skills in MS Office
    • Ability to motivate and guide others to ensure performance in accordance with clear expectations and goals.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
    • Ability to perform simple arithmetic and pay attention to details.
    • Ability to lead and support quality, safety, and policy standards.
