Lead Teacher

Here at Youth Development Center/PAL, we are looking for a passionate and organized lead teacher to join our wonderful team!

Teachers are responsible for planning, preparing, and implementing daily lesson plans and monitoring children’s progress. The successful candidate will be responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of children in their care. As well as creating an engaging and learning environment that fosters a sense of belonging for the children.

Qualifications and Requirements:

● Must be 18 years old

● High School Diploma or GED required

● Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

● Must pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting, and TB Test

● Current in First Aid/CPR Certification (or within 3 months of employment)

● Ability to lift, or otherwise move objects up to 40 pounds

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

✅ Developing and implementing age-appropriate activities

✅ Serving as a positive adult role model for children

✅ Creating a cohesive and effective staff team environment

✅ Implementing lesson plans and maintaining daily classroom schedules

✅ Using a variety of instructional and assessment strategies to meet individual child needs
