Quality Control (QC) Inspector
Holtec Decommissioning International (HDI) is currently seeking a
QC Inspector to join the Palisades Nuclear Plant team in
Covert, MI.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Perform responsibilities as an inspector and Quality Control Inspection Coordinator in accordance with the Quality Control procedures and guidance.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Select, perform, conduct, and document results of inspections, examinations and testing to verify conformance to specified requirements.
- Select appropriate Hold Points for maintenance work activities and ensure they are appropriately contained in the applicable work order/procedure.
- Select and perform inspections of routine and non-routine maintenance and construction-like activities to include safety related / augmented quality modifications and temporary modification work orders.
- Use appropriate inspection equipment and M&TE when performing applicable inspection activities.
- Ensure ANSI N45.2.6 Qualifications and certifications are current, including eye exams, prior to performing inspections.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position:
Level II Inspector:
High school graduate or have earned a GED equivalent to a high school diploma plus one year of satisfactory performance as Level I in the corresponding inspection, examination or test category or class.
OR
High school graduate or have earned a GED equivalent to a high school diploma plus three years of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, testing activities/equivalent activities.
OR
Completion of college-level work leading to an associate degree in a related discipline plus one year of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, testing activities /equivalent activities.
OR
Four-year college graduate plus six months of related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, testing activities or equivalent activities.
Minimum experience required of the position:
3 years
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position:
- The individual shall be capable of performing the inspections, examinations, and tests that are required to be performed in accordance with documented procedures and/or industry practices.
- Knowledge of nuclear and/or other industrial regulatory and quality requirements.
- Ability to effectively work and communicate with others in the organization including good oral and written communication skills.
- ANSI N45.2.6 defines minimum capabilities for each level of inspector.
Any certificates, licenses, etc., required for the position:
Desired: Previous qualification as an ANSI Level II or III Inspector.
