    Service Desk - PRN

     

     

     

    This position is responsible for providing a large, diversified clientele with outstanding customer service by performing the day-to-day administrative, cafe and reception functions of a large exercise facility while successfully administering all service desk operations. Service desk staff is primarily responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to existing members and guest ensuring retention and growth. Provides superior service to members and prospects in a timely, professional, and courteous manner. This includes performing all job functions at an exceptional level and adhering to established areas of accountability.

    • Effective November 1, 2022 a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is no longer required for this position. 

    • BLS/AED certification preferred.
    • Ability to "reach out and welcome" people as they enter the club
    • Warm, professional telephone personality
    • Ability to communicate Wellness Center information, in person or by phone, quickly and effectively
    • Basic computer skills
    • Good math skills
    • Must be skilled in multi-tasking
    • Operations of cafe appliances and prep areas
    • Patience
    • Creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for members when they come into the Wellness Center
    • Provides current & accurate information to members, guests and teammates to ensure superior service
    • Maintaining a "friendly and quick entry" focus at the service desk for bringing members into the club
    • Cafe operations including smoothie prep and cleaning of cafe.
    • Enforcement of all Wellness Center policies
    • Use of check-in and POS computers
    • Processing proshop and cafe sales
    • Answering multiline phone system
    • Ensure that delinquent members are not gaining access to the club
    • Work is done behind the service desk, or at a specified quiet area for performing cash-outs at end of shifts. All areas are well lit and climate controlled. Service desk can be noisy and hectic at peak times.
    • Physical requirements include but are not limited to: Infrequent lifting (below 50 lbs.), constant standing, sitting at a desk for administrative tasks, using a computer for member check-ins, using a telephone, food preparations in Smoothie Well.
    • Interpersonal demands for this position are high. The service desk attendant is responsible for creating a positive and productive environment for all members, guest and teammates. Personal communications both verbally and written are required.
