The Chamber provides access to a number of key insurance benefits and business development services to advance members business.

SOUTHHAVENMI.COM:

As a member, your business automatically receives a basic listing on the southhavenmi.com website. This listing contains your business name, contact information and a brief description of your business. As part of your Chamber membership you can be placed under several categories providing greater access to you business via our website’s search function. Our members can enhance their presence in the market by participating in our cost-effective, business oriented web advertising program. SMALL BUSINESS COUNSELING SERVICES:

As a member, you have access to small business counseling services through the Small Business Technology Development Center (SBTDC) and SCORE: Counselors to America’s Small Business. These services are provided in a confidential nature on a free-of-charge basis and are available to anyone interested in starting a business, those who have an existing business, and folks interested in growing and expanding their business.

HEALTH INSURANCE:

Health insurance is one of the largest single expenses facing business today. Through your Chamber of Commerce, members have access to various Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan group health insurance programs which may provide the coverage needed within the constraints facing today's small businesses.

GROUP AUTO & HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE:

The sole proprietor, principal partners or manager of Chamber of Commerce members may qualify to participate in a group insurance program with Hastings Mutual and Auto Owners Insurance. This is another important program saving area business much needed capital.

VISITOR RESOURCE ROOM:

Our Visitor and Resource Room contains information ranging from telephone books, to guides on starting and expanding a business, access to local demographic and expenditure data, member pamphlets and brochures, and access to the internet.

MEMBER MAILINGS:

All members have access to the Chamber of Commerce's Bulk Mailing Permit and can benefit from using this mailing permit by saving up to 33% on regular mailing costs. As a benefit of Chamber membership, members have access to a complete mailing list of Chamber members who are a good target audience for a large mailing such as a bulk mailing.

CERTIFICATES OF ORIGIN:

Many of South Haven's manufacturing companies are expanding their overseas exports. Often these shipments will require a certificate of local manufacture from the Chamber of Commerce. Our staff are ready to assist your needs relative to exporting opportunities.
